Cookies and how we use them

Version: 1.2. Issue date: 05-08-2018. Last updated: 07-21-2026.

We use cookies on our site (www.gascliptech.com) (our site) for a number of purposes. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to work and are always on. Optional analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you choose to accept them using our cookie preference tool — see the "Manage Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of this site to view or change your choice at any time.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive or your device storage.

We use the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users find what they are looking for easily.

You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them below.

First-party (Gas Clip Technology) cookies

This website will set some cookies that are essential for the website to operate correctly. These cookies, none of which capture personally identifiable information, are as follows:

  • Visitor ID – this cookie is a numeric value that identifies unique visitors and provides coherence and consistency to a site visit;
  • Session ID – this cookie identifies your website session if logged into our secure area;
  • Test – this cookie checks whether or not your browser supports cookies;
  • cc_cookie – this cookie stores your cookie consent choices so we remember them on your next visit. This cookie is itself strictly necessary and is not affected by your Analytics/Advertising preferences.

Third-party cookies

Our websites will set several types of third-party cookie, and we do not control the operation of any of them. None of these are set until you accept the relevant category (Analytics or Advertising) in our cookie preference tool. The third-party cookies which may be set include:

  • Google Analytics – we use Google Analytics to collect data about website usage, only after you accept the "Analytics" cookie category. This data does not include personally identifiable information. You can view the Google Privacy Policy here: www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
  • Meta Pixel – we use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show more relevant ads to people who have visited our site, only after you accept the "Advertising" cookie category. It sets cookies (such as _fbp) and reports your activity on our site to Meta. You can opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info or through your Facebook/Instagram ad settings, and you can read Meta's Privacy Policy here: www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.
  • Multiview Advertising (Adobe Launch) – our marketing team uses a tag from Adobe (“Multiview Advertising”) to support advertising measurement, only after you accept the "Advertising" cookie category. We are confirming the exact data this collects with our marketing team and will update this description accordingly.

You can accept or decline optional cookies at any time using the "Manage Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of this site. You can also block cookies using your browser's own settings; if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
